Product lines include fiber optic modems for a variety of interfaces and data rates, multiplexers serving a wide range of speeds, capacities and interfaces and LAN products that provide long distance LAN extension up to 100km. Our video conferencing products offer video extensions to meet requirements in a variety of environments.  Canoga Perkins specializes in fiber optic communications. The Company designs, manufactures and sells LAN/WAN Internetworking, fiber optic modems and multiplexers (CWDM, WDM and TDM), Videoconferencing products and Outside Plant Test equipment. FIBER MODEM PRODUCTS

2240 Universal Modem For Sync, Async, G.703 compatible T1, E1 applications (up to 2.048Mbps), the 2240 offers over 15 interfaces, selectable clock rates and pass-through controls.

2245 DS3 Modem The Model 2245 is a multi-featured DS3 fiber optic modem that transmits standard DSX-3 (44.736 Mbps) signals over single mode or multimode fiber optic cable. The 2245 DS3 fiber optic modem transports any B3ZS coded data stream with either framed or unframed formats. It provides complete diagnostic and fault isolation features when transporting M13 or C-bit parity framed DSX-3 signals.

2262 T1/E1 Modem Provides a transparent fiber optic link extension for E1 or T1 signals, supporting AMI, B8ZS and HDB3. Offers alarm and remote loopback indicators.

2346 DS3 Modem This product is the solution that problem of the Telco Demark in the wrong place or even the wrong building.  When you need to tie building communications together at the T3 - DS3 level the 2346 DS3 Fiber Optic modems will let you extend out to 100KM.

2361 EdgeAccess T1 Fiber Optic Modem (Managed) The Model 2361 is a G.703 compliant EdgeAccess T1 fiber optic modem. It is a microprocessor-based modem and supports the standard speed of 1.544Mbps. It provides a transparent fiber optic link extension for AMI and B8ZS bipolar line codes.

Canoga Perkins L311 The Model L311 is a managed UTP-to-Fiber Media Converter that extends 10BASE-T UTP segments with fiber optic cable. The L311 extends the interconnection between switches or stations up to 100km.

Canoga Perkins L312 The L312 is a managed UTP to Fiber Ethernet Media Converter.  It extends 10BASE-T UTP segments up to 120km over Single Mode fiber. Canoga Perkins 9103  The 9103 is a cost-effective, compact, -48VDC rack mountable solution that converts signals from 100BASETX to 100BASE-FX and is transparent to half and full duplex operation. The 9103 single or dual Media Converter also supports connectivity of up to 120km over single mode fiber optic cable in full duplex mode.
Canoga Perkins 9119   Fast Ethernet 100BASE-TX to 100BASE-FX Fiber Media Converter - It provides transparent 100Mbps Full Duplex operation, and supports connectivity of up to 3 km over multimode fiber, and over 100km on single mode fiber optic cable. The 9119 will also transparently pass IEEE 802.1q (1522byte) & Cisco™ ISL (1548byte) packets.
Canoga Perkins 9120   The 9120 is a Gigabit Ethernet Media Converter. It extends multimode Gigabit segments up to 90km over single mode fiber. It is designed for installation into the Canoga Perkins 9101 LAN Chassis and is also available as a standalone for desktop or wall mount installation.
 

Canoga Perkins 9125  The Model 9125 is a Fibre Channel Extender. It extends multimode segments up to 90km over single mode fiber. It is designed for installation into the Canoga Perkins Model 9101 LAN Chassis, and is available as a standalone for desktop or wall mount installation.

 

Canoga Perkins 9135 Two Port EdgeAccess™ Switch - 100BASE-TX/FX Compliant Fast Ethernet device that supports native 10Mbps, 100Mbps or 10/100Mbps Ethernet LAN Extension Circuits to over 100km. The 9135 provides speed (10Mbps/100Mbps), mode (HDX to FDX), optical (MM to SM), and wavelength (1310nm to 1550nm) conversions, with or without SNMP management. The 9135 will also transparently pass IEEE 802.1q (1522byte) packets with the optional SNMP Management Module.

 

Canoga Perkins 9135G  The 9135G Gigabit Two-port EdgeAccess™ Switch is a 1000BASE-LX compliant Ethernet device that supports native Ethernet LAN Extension circuits. It is designed to provide a smooth transition through its hot-swappable fiber optic interfaces. The primary application of the 9135G two-port Gigabit Switch is as a demarcation device, terminating one-Gigabit fiber optic LAN Extension circuits at the customer premises with SNMP management and a choice of customer interfaces.
 

Canoga Perkins 9135E The 9135E Two-port EdgeAccess® Switch is an IEEE compliant Ethernet termination device ideal for terminating 10M, 100M, and Gigabit Ethernet LAN Extension circuits. It is designed to provide a smooth transition from 10Mbps to 100Mbps or 1000Mbps through hot swappable interfaces.  The primary application of the 9135E is to terminate 10Mbps, 100Mbps or 1000Mbps LAN Extension services at the customer premises with SNMP management and a choice of customer interfaces.

Canoga Perkins 3240M  The  3240M Fiber Optic Multiplexer is the most versatile and dependable multiplexer on the market today. No other product of its kind can compare with the 3240M for fault tolerance and reliability. SNMP management allows the 3240M to maximize network uptime and control.   

 

Canoga Perkins 3240S    The 3240S extends G.703 compliant E1 and T1 circuits over fiber in point-to-point configurations. Distances up to 90km can be achieved utilizing extended distance optics, or the economical multimode LED optics may be sufficient for shorter distance requirements.

 

Canoga Perkins CMX-808  Model CMX-808 is designed for EIA-232 asynchronous applications, it is an extremely cost-effective fiber optic multiplexer. It provides for eight channels of operation. These channel capacities can also be doubled when used without control leads and with "Y" cables. Supported asynchronous speeds are up to 19.2kbpsThe Model 3240S is a managed E1/T1 Fiber Optic Multiplexer designed for maximum network uptime and control.

 

Canoga Perkins CMX-320  Model CMX-320 is designed for EIA-232 asynchronous applications and is extremely cost-effective fiber optic multiplexer. It can be configured for 16 or 32 channels. These channel capacities can also be doubled when used without control leads and with "Y" cables. Supports asynchronous speeds of up to 19.2kbps

Canoga Perkins L332 The L332 is a managed Gigabit Ethernet Media Converter. It extends Multimode Gigabit segments up to 110km over single mode fiber. It is designed for installation into the Canoga Perkins carrier class UCS platform, and is also available as standalone for desktop or wall-mount installations.

Canoga Perkins L342 The L342 is a managed Gigabit Fiber Channel Extender. It extends Multimode Fiber Channel up to 110km over single mode fiber. It is designed for installation into the Canoga Perkins carrier class UCS platform, and is also available as standalone for desktop or wall-mount installations.

CWDM / WDM

 
Canoga Perkins 6000 Series 2, 3 and 4 Channel CWDM To maximize the existing fiber plant, Canoga Perkins offers Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexer (CWDM) products designed to cost-effectively increase channel counts from two to four using the same fiber composite. Models 6002/3/4 are widely-spaced WDM modules for two to four channels, respectively.
 
Canoga Perkins 6000 Series  4 and 8 Channel CWDM's.  Model 6004 and 6008 Passive CWDM modules work in conjunction with Canoga Perkins’ CWDM transponder line to deliver carrier class performance at a fraction of the cost of expensive DWDM systems. Each port is capable of receiving discrete CWDM wavelengths from 1470nm to 1610nm, with optional 1310nm pass through channel, and optically multiplexing the wavelengths into one composite.
 
Canoga Perkins 6100 Access Module  The 6100 is a host module, which can accommodate one or two converter / transponder modules. Available as a standalone enclosure or as a module in the UCS. This card provides the power, management, and alarming for the individual converter modules that are installed within.
 
Canoga Perkins 6150 FibreXpander  4-Channel CWDM System Expand the capacity of your existing fiber by installing Canoga Perkins’ innovative FibreXpander instead of laying more fiber. The FibreXpander allows the user to extend up to four applications over one pair of single mode fiber, quadrupling your capacity instantly.
 
Canoga Perkins 6600 Fiber Savers Fiber Singlers offer a cost-effective solution for connecting two 1310nm devices over an individual single mode fiber. This doubles the available fiber currently in place or fiber planned for future expansion. The 6600 Series Fiber Saver is specifically designed for Enterprise environments with Star Configurations requiring point-to-point single fiber transmission. The Fiber Saver is available in 8 or 16 single fiber interfaces in rackmount configuration.
 
Canoga Perkins 6702 CWDM Transponder  Expand the capacity of your existing fiber by installing Canoga Perkins’ innovative 6702 Series CWDM Transponder instead of laying more fiber. The 6702 Series CWDM Transponder allows the user to extend up to nine applications over one pair of single mode fiber using WDM technology.
 
Canoga Perkins 6703 CWDM Transponder  Expand the capacity of your existing fiber by installing Canoga Perkins’ innovative 6703 Series CWDM Transponder instead of laying more fiber. The 6703 Series CWDM Transponder allows the user to extend up to nine applications over one pair of single mode fiber using WDM technology.
 
Canoga Perkins L600 Series Fiber Optic Transponder  Optical converter/transponder line interface module (TLIM) for use in a 6100 host module. The L60x TLIM is an unidirectional converter of multimode to single mode, short reach to long reach optics, and/or one wavelength to another. A standard converter may take a 1310nm multimode input and convert it to a 1550nm single mode signal for transmission over 100km. Wavelengths can be ordered to match those required for the 6002/3/4 passive WDM modules. Speeds from 8Mbps to 1.25Gbps are accommodated. Clock recovery or bandwidth monitoring options are available.
 
Canoga Perkins L650 Series / 6001 Fiber Singlers  Fiber Singlers offer a cost-effective solution for connecting two 1310nm devices over an individual single mode fiber. This, in effect, doubles the available fiber currently in place or fiber planned for future expansion. The L650 Series is an 8Mbps to 1.25Gbps protocol transparent transponder with an integral WDM element, which combines the transmit and receive optical paths onto a single fiber.  A passive Fiber Singler 6001 can be used at the remote end when the end equipment supports a loss budget adequate for the attenuation link. Single and dual stage versions of the 6001 are available that provide cross-talk isolation values greater than 30dB.
 
Canoga Perkins OADM Drop and Continue or Drop and Insert Multiplexer   To maximize fiber efficiency, Canoga Perkins introduces the passive OADM, Optical Add/Drop Multiplexer, product line. Canoga Perkins offers two types of OADMs: Drop and Continue or Drop and Insert. The passive OADM module allows users to drop a specific optical wavelength at any point in the application or insert another wavelength to the link. This can be done on one pair of singlemode fiber instead of multiple pairs.
 
Canoga Perkins WA-2  Model WA-2 is a bi-directional two channel WDM. This passive device effectively combines 1310nm and 1550nm (SMF only) or 850nm and 1310nm (MMF only) wavelength data signals together over a composite fiber pair. It is totally speed, protocol, and line code independent; even analog and digital signals can transverse in parallel.
 

UNIVERSAL CHASSIS SYSTEM

 
Canoga Perkins UCS 1000  The 5U UCS 1000 offers multiple fiber optic based services up to Gigabit speeds. The UCS 1000 provides a NEBS Level 3 tested and certified, cost effective managed platform. Different technologies can be mixed to form any type of network that you require. A variety of technology modules with various interface options provide complete flexibility. Everything is hot swappable and redundancy is offered to provide a trouble-free, rock solid product you can count on. Up to 15 technology modules can be housed in one UCS 1000. A 19" or 23" rackmount can be used with front mount, mid mount, rear mount or recessed mount. Advanced monitoring, management, trouble shooting and configuration features of all the UCS 1000 products provide you full access to the system locally and remotely.
 
Canoga Perkins UCS 1001 The UCS 1001 is a general-purpose 1U, two slot chassis. Technology modules that are used in the UCS 1000 fit in the UCS 1001. Flexible and scalable, the UCS 1001 accommodates the entire Canoga Perkins’ Universal Chassis System product line. It is ideal for customer premises installation, enterprise networks and military installations. A 19" or 23" rackmount can be used with front mount, mid mount, rear mount or recessed mount.
 
Canoga Perkins UCS 1002  The EdgeAccess Universal Chassis System (UCS) Model 1002 is a managed 2U carrier-class multi-technology platform designed to accommodate the Canoga Perkins new generation of LAN Extension products with other technology modules planned. The UCS 1002 is NEBS Level 3 tested and certified, ensuring a robust and fault-tolerant platform. Up to 14 technology modules can be housed in one UCS 1002. Up to eight UCS 1002’s can be controlled by a single IP address.
 

Canoga Perkins UCS 1020 The EdgeAccess 1020 is a one-slot enclosure designed to provide management access to any Canoga Perkins fully manageable 2U module. An EIA 232 port provides terminal or modem access and an RJ45 connector provides 10BaseT access to the installed module.  Network operators can gain management information via Telnet, SLIP/PPP, VT100 terminal access, or modem. Switches for connector configuration, local and remote loopback and LEDs are located in the front for easy access. The EdgeAccess 1020 is available with AC power and comes with wall mount brackets

 
Canoga Perkins UCS 1030E  The EdgeAccess 1030E is a cost effective alternative to the UCS 1020 listed above for applications that do not require local management access. It holds one fully manageable or limited management 2U module. The 1030E is available with AC power and comes with wall mount brackets.
 
Canoga Perkins UCS 1040  The EdgeAccess® 1040 is a one-slot enclosure designed to provide management access to any Canoga Perkins fully manageable 5U module. An RJ45 connector provides 10BaseT access to the installed module so network operators can gain vital management information via Telnet, SNMP or CanogaView®. Switches for connector configuration, local and remote loopback and LEDs are located in the front for easy access. The EdgeAccess® 1040 is available with AC power and comes with wallmount brackets.
 
Canoga Perkins UCS 1050  The EdgeAccess® 1050 is a cost effective alternative for applications that do not require local management access. It holds one fully manageable or limited management 5U module. The 1050 is available with AC power, or non-powered for WDM modules, and comes with wallmount brackets.
 
Rack Mount Kit / RackMount Kit This kit provides the necessary hardware to install two Canoga Perkins’ UCS Standalone devices in a rack.
